THE NAKED FARMER’S MISSION

‘It takes as much guts to take your clothes off for a photo as it takes to talk about mental health issues’

My mission is to raise money and awareness around mental health in the agriculture industry.
One of my aims is to gather a collection of photos from game farmers who have the guts to get their kit off. Afterall, it takes just as much guts to talk about mental health issues as it does to get your gear off!

To complete the mission, I have already released and sold out of our 2018 calendar, so here’s what I’m doing next:

• Take a selection of photos and create a 2019 Calendar (Male) and (Female). We want your photo!

• Set off on an Australia-wide tour on June 25 to meet our followers and farmers who want to have their photo taken, with just their boots and hat on! Also have a bit of a yarn on life in agriculture.

• Launch our underwear range (coming in March). For guys and gals!

I chose the RFDS Mental Health Unit to support my fundraising efforts because their dedicated mental health professionals visit remote towns and properties to provide treatment and support, as well as education about mental health issues for individuals and communities in rural and remote areas of Australia. They also offer a one on one first up consultation which is followed up by Skype sessions from your lounge or kitchen table. You can call them on 1300 887 678 seven days a week (24 hour service).
If you have a problem you can also call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636.
